Free tix to Cirque Du Soleil : Saltimbanco in San Antonio Saturday if anyone wants them.

So this weekend Jenn and I were planning on heading down to San Antonio via Dallas for a 6 day weekend. I had bought Circ de Sole tickets for us in San Antonio for Jenn for Christmas. At the time the idea was we would either be pregnant from the IVF in early Feb, or we wouldn't, but either way we'd need a vacation.

And so it was up until yesterday morning. Jenn caught a cold earlier in the week, which combined with her morning sickness was making her life a special kind of hell. Still we were thinking that maybe if she woke up Thursday feeling OK we'd give it a shot, but instead I woke up with a nice deep chest cold and a fever. So there I am at 8am Thursday calling the San Antonio hotel to cancel reservations, calling Budget to bring back the rental I just picked up the evening before, and calling puppy daycare to tell them we wouldn't need to board Loki.

Unfortunately the Circ de Soleil tickets are non refundable. They're digital, so basically I'll just email them to you and you'll have to print them out (PDF) and take them with you. 7:30 Saturday night at the AT&T center. Email jayhawk88@gmail.com if you're interested.

In other news, yeah we're sick. I spent the better part of yesterday in a Nyquil sleep with a 100+ fever, as has Jenn (sans Nyquil of course). Feel a lot better today, but still have that annoying, perpetual taste-O-snot on the roof of my mouth. Poor Jenn has spent pretty much the whole time throwing up: What the mucus doesn't take care of the morning sickness does.

Otherwise things are pretty normal. We did have a little bit of potentially bad news at our last sonogram: Baby A is doing fine, but Baby B was still pretty small. Doctor didn't seem to like that, and kind of wavered between "I don't think this one will make it" and "It's still too early to tell". Reading some stuff later on, it turns out that it's not uncommon for fraternals to be different sizes early on, so we're still hopeful. Another sonogram a week from Tuesday, we'll see what it looks like then.

Got a couple DS games the other day in anticipation for the trip drive that never happened: Advance Wars Days of Ruin and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Advance Wars is pretty much what you would expect, perhaps a little too much so; as far as units go you barely get anything new. It also doesn't seem like this one will hold my interest as long as Dual Strike, as it doesn't seem to have quite as many unlockables, but perhaps I just need to explore it more. Professor Layton I haven't quite decided yet.
